Consultation

My name is Yettel Jimenez. I am certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant in Training. I completed my Basic Training in 2019 with EMDR Consulting founded by Roy Kiessling,LISW. I continued my journey integrating EMDR into my daily practice, translating  forms on the go to  into Spanish, finding creative ways to explain EMDR to patients, and exploring creative BLS alternatives to meet my patients' needs. 
I have experienced working with undocumented individuals and complex cases where there is often prolonged exposure to trauma and adversity, including systemic and structural. In addition, I have completed advanced training in Somatic focused EMDR, Complex Trauma and Dissociation, the Flash Technique, and using Art with Complex Trauma patients. The biggest challenges I have experienced is helping patients heal from trauma when their safety is continuously threaten.
In March 2020, Amid COVID-19 I transitioned from in person to virtual practice. Alas, I have successfully use EMDR virtually for the last six months. 
My approach to consultation is to foster professional grow by helping therapists build upon their strengths; by boosting their confidence and offering support, knowledge, and experience.
